Learn To Fix Your Bike At Our Bike Repair Classes!
Learn how to fix your bike just like Shannon and Andy!
Our bike repair classes are taught by our technicians, who are experts in repairing and maintaining bicycles. You’ll learn the best ways to care for and fix problems on your road and mountain bikes following our hands-on clinic. You will also receive Park Tool’s Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair. (It acts as the class outline.) The Big Blue Book uses color photos and instructions to clearly explain the topics covered in our class and over 100 more various repairs and maintenance including servicing bearing assemblies, wheels, braking and shifting systems, adjusting components, and more!
The Park Tool School clinic includes:
Tools and lubrication
Wheels, tires and tubes
Brakes and cables
Bearing service and adjustment (headset, bottom bracket and hubs)
Hands-on brake adjustments (pads and cables)
Derailleur adjustments (cable, indexing, limits and shifters)
Stem, bar and seatpost adjustment
Park’s Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair is included. It is authored by C. Calvin Jones, a world-renowned bicycle mechanic. It is one of the most up-to-date resources available and it contains information on all of the latest technologies and components. You will be working on your own bicycle in the class and we provide the workstands and tools for you to use. There will be four classes for each Park Tool School session, usually running for four consecutive weeks. Each class is a 90 minute duration. Classes are scheduled for Saturday mornings and are held at different times during the year. Cost for the class is $125 plus tax for the four session school. Please call or email us here at Rose City Cycle to find out when the next set of classes are set to begin. We also offer a free class that covers changing flat tube/tires, that we offer throughout the year. Sign up on our email list or follow Rose City Cycle on Facebook to learn about our next classes.
Your tuition even includes this great Park Repair Manual!
